Matthew McKay works where data, learning technology, and adult education meet. She runs the enterprise learning platform and analytics program for a large national utilities field-services company. Before that, she spent several years in a large U.S. bank's technology organization, building workforce models, dashboards, and its transformation office's first data and analytics roadmap.
Her working rules are simple: check every number against its source, flag messy data instead of quietly dropping it, and build tools the least technical person on the team can actually use.
She holds a PhD in Urban Education from Indiana University Indianapolis, an MS from Canisius College, and a graduate certificate in nonprofit management from Indiana University, and is a Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP). She teaches at SUNY Erie Community College and has also taught at Purdue University, the Rochester Institute of Technology, and SUNY Adirondack, where she earlier served as Director of Student Life & Diversity.
Jennifer has more than eight years in higher education, leading academic support, program management, leadership development, and staff training. She designs workshops built around participation, so audiences practice skills rather than just hear about them.
She holds a master's degree in student affairs in higher education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, has presented at multiple conferences, and has taught as adjunct faculty at SUNY Adirondack. Her focus areas are leadership, program management, first-year experience, and team effectiveness.
